Summer is right around the corner, which means of course that I’m back to talking about my sickening love for maxi dresses. If you didn’t catch my previous maxi post featuring Igigi, make sure to check it out here. Anyway, the point is that I love maxi dresses and they are pretty much my staple attire during the warmer months. Not only are they easy (hello! slip on and go), but they also make me feel elegant, and perfectly put together.
So yes, I love the darn dresses and stock up every summer on a few different styles.
Now during the summer months, my company offers a half day on Friday’s. Since I am already in the city I love using these days to hit a museum, go down by the water or hop on a train to the shore.
Inspired by the soon to start half day Friday’s, I’ve decided to have a little fun with this post and show you two different looks using the same maxi dress. Here is my work to beach look!
I want to send a huge thank you to Ulla Popken for sponsoring this post. This maxi dress is incredibly comfortable and it’s a great weight to transition from work to weekend. I love that the dress has thick straps so that I can wear a normal bra underneath.
For my beach look I just tucked in the straps, grabbed a big sun hat and kept it moving.
Also for my shorties, this maxi is a perfect length; it won’t drag on the floor and shows a hint of ankle.
For my tall ladies, this will fit more like a midi dress which are also super hot this season.
Ulla Popken offers great plus size style at excellent price point. Something that I love is that Ulla Popken items are designed specifically for the brand, so it’s not the same cookie cutter piece you will get with other retailers. Stay tuned to my review of a few additional Ulla items and more work to weekend looks.
