Wide Leg Pants and Cold Shoulders

This entire week I’ve been sharing with you some amazing looks from MODAMIX.  First, I showed off their gorgeous Mermaid Sequin Dress, next came a more casual look with their Polly Cable Knit Poncho Sweater and their Tamara Printed Scuba Pencil Skirt, and now I am excited to highlight their Abby Cold-Shoulder Blouse and their Morgan Flowy Wide-Leg Pants.

I must say, I can’t count how many compliments I received on on this look. First, let’s discuss the pants. They are an extreme wide leg pant with front pleats and a back elastic waistband. Ladies, plus size women can wear pleats if they are placed in the proper location, so don’t immediately write off a pleated pair of pants until you try them on. I like to wear my pants higher on my waist, so that helped with the length of the pants and I did not need to get them hemmed. I can easily see these becoming my go to pants as they were both comfortable and polished looking which I loved.

Regarding the top, can we say perfection?! Now cold shoulder continues to trend strongly in the fashion industry, and while I was first on the fence about this look, the blouse wears so beautifully that any doubt I had simply disappeared. What was impressive was the alignment of the neckline of the top to the shoulder cutouts. The top was so balanced that I was never at risk of showing bra straps – a typical problem with cold shoulder tops. The top is so delicate and pretty that it really is a must have for the office and for nights out.

So there you have it, my week at MODAMIX was a blast and I can’t wait to show you some of the other beautiful items they have in store for you. Stay tuned!
