Glitz and Glam for the Office Party

Well ladies Christmas is a week away and at this point, we are all running around like crazy people picking up last minute gifts, prepping our homes for the upcoming festivities and celebrating at holiday gatherings with friends and family.

Today’s look is inspired by my own recent office holiday party. Now, it’s not always easy to dress for work events. I don’t know about you, but I always struggle with that balance between staying true to my personal style and aesthetics, and staying within the lines of what works for work. So when the email came through to RSVP for our office holiday party, being held at a swanky bar in the city, I quickly hit the web to figure out what the heck to wear.

One of the first websites I visited was fullbeauty.com. Fullbeauty.com always has so many options and because they carry several different brands it makes it very simple to pull looks together from many other stores and place one order.

So for my office party look I decided to go with this Jessica London Sequin Skirt as my standout piece. First, who can say no to a gorgeous sequin pencil skirt? The silver sequin on the skirt are beautiful, bright and definitely bold. As soon as I saw it I knew I needed to pair it with something that was simple and didn’t call too much attention because the star of this look needed to be the skirt.

After shifting through my closet I decided to go with a tone on tone effect and pair the skirt with the gray Perfect Collection! Modern fit Perfect mock turtleneck tee. Surprisingly to me the monochromatic look was perfect and kept it polished and classy. I added a belt for some additional definition and simple pumps and a clutch to finish off the look. This ensemble definitely says “Hello I’m here!” without screaming it from the rooftop. I felt sassy, confident, and excited to celebrate the holidays with my fellow colleagues.

What are you wearing to your holiday office party?
