Who said I can’t wear white?

I often hear women, especially plus size women, say that they can't wear white.  Whether it's the notion that white makes them "feel" bigger or it's because of some other crazy "fashion" rule that they've heard growing up; many women that I encounter still shy away from the color white, especially white pants.

I will admit, I was once one of these women. The security of darker colors made black clothing my go to option and the thought of showing off every lump and bump made white clothing a big no-no for me. In my journey for body confidence and acceptance, the introduction of white into my wardrobe was a big turning point for me.

So ladies, in the spirit of breaking fashion rules and changing the stigmas many still struggle with, today's post is dedicated to this this super casual, white jean look that I wore while on vacation in Puerto Rico.

First let me say that not only was this look so comfortable but I loved that it wasn't so serious. Fashion should be fun, expressive and silly at times and that to me was what this look captured.

So ladies, what are your thoughts regarding wearing white?

So funny, I don't feel uncomfortable or inappropriate wearing white on the bottom, but I would have a hard time wearing a white DRESS. I keep seeing cute white summer dresses but I just…ugh. Ha. In my mind, me in a white dress would look like someone in a white sheet as a ghost costume. Ha, that's awful! Okay, you've challenged me. I will at least TRY ON some white dresses.
