Happy Monday ladies! Today we continue on our IG Wives LA takeover with a visit to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art aka LACMA.
LACMA is the largest art museum in the western United States and attracts nearly a million visitors annually so making this one of our stops on the LA tour was a must. Plus as a blogger and art lover, you can't visit LA without making a stop to see Chris Burden's Urban Light display. While I have seen these photographed a million and one times, I couldn't help but still stare in awe at the gorgeousness of the two hundred and two restored cast iron antique lamps. This is definintely a must see if you are in LA.
As soon as I saw the big bold yellow circles on this skirt I know it was a must in my life. For this shoot and for the daytime functions at #BlogHer16: Experts Among Us I decided to style the skirt in a more work inspired look. Pairing it with a sheer ivory top that also had a subtle dot pattern was the perfect piece to compliment the look.
If you are looking for a show stopper article of clothing, this skirt is definitely it. Perfect for both summer and fall I received complements all day long with it.
For a more casual look for dinner that evening, I swapped out the top for a graphic t-shirt and the heels for flat sandals. Yes, versatility at its best!
Now, I will admit sizing was an issue with this skirt. While I typically wear a size 18, I did need to go up to a size 20 in this and probably could have done a 22 for a little more room in the waist. As a reference, I am traditional hourglass shape, hold some weight in my lower abdomen and I am wearing shapewear.
So ladies, there you have it, part two of our LA fashion take over. Make sure to visit Jami and Sandra to learn more about their looks and their experience at LACMA. Also, make sure to check out Part 1 of our LA takeover and check back on Wednesday for part 3 of this series.
