Last year I shared with you the havoc that being sick has had on my hair and my journey to restore it from its thin and frail state. Well over the past 6 months I have been following my Ona recommended regime and let me tell you, what a change! If you are not familiar with Ona – shame on you! lol!
Ona Diaz-Santin aka the Hair Saint at 5 Salon & Spa in Fort Lee, New Jersey and is honestly a hair magician. Her love and passion for healthy, beautiful hair is clear from the moment you meet her. She is patient and kind and will definitely tell you how it is.
On my last visit with Ona I shared with her that I was ready to give my natural wavy hair another go. I say another go because I tried this last year and man was it a flop! Anyway, we decided to go shorter with my hair and added in a lot of texture. This partnered with the right products gave my hair the transformation I was desperately seeking.
No more limp, streaky hair. Hello, luscious beautiful waves. Now yes, I will never have the big bold curls that some of my curly beauty babes have but I am proof that with good care you can revive your waves even after years of heat damage.
So what products am I using?
On my first visit Ona introduced me to the Wella EIMI line and let me tell you I love it! I already use Wella EIMI Thermal Image, Wella EIMI Smooth – Perfect Me Lightweight BB Lotion and Wella Eimi Glam Mist for my straight looks but for my wavy style we decided to go with something that was going to give me volume and texture and the Wella EIMI Sugar Lift was the perfect product. This product is amazing! It gave me great texture, hold and never felt sticky. My biggest tip is to be generous with the product.
Another product that I love and that I shared recently on Instagram is the Bumble and Bumble Surf Infusion Spray. I love that this products is lightweight and smells amazing. I can use it on day one or day three and still get amazing results.
So ladies, thank you so much for following me on my hair journey. Whether it is illness, heat damage or genetics thinning hair is something that is not often discussed among women. I would love to hear what products you are using and all about your hair journey.
