It's November which to me means the holiday frenzy is right around the corner. With most of my family living in Puerto Rico, holiday travel is always part of my November/ December schedule and if you've ever traveled during this time of the year then you know it isn't easy. Holiday travel is always full of delays, oversold flights, crying children and not so nice adults. However, the end result, spending time with my family, is always what motivates me to book that flight. So to help you stay sane this holiday season, I've compiled a list of my favorite travel must haves that you NEED to take with you to the airport this year.
Top of the line headphones are top on my list because honestly they are a true game changer for me. From blocking out the crying children to the constant airport/ airplane chatter, you will be happy to have something that offers you a little slice of piece and tranquility. Now you may already know from one of my earlier posts that I am a die hard Bose girl. My Bose headphones has given me so much relief while traveling and till this day my babies haven't failed! So you guys shouldn't be surprised that the Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Headphones, Noise Cancelling – Black is top on my list. These beauties are truly the best noise cancelling and wireless headphones I've tried. I love that you can use a wired cord once the battery runs out and that with the built-in microphone you can now use it also to take calls. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Santa brings them to me this holiday season.
Airport delays can mean LONG waits at the airport. I was recently stuck at LAX for 12 hours and let me just tell you that having a good source of entertainment was key. While usually both my laptop and iPad travel with me, I personally always gravitate to my Kindle while traveling. I love taking this time to catch up on a good book and because it is super lightweight and the battery last forever it's the perfect item to keep me busy for hours. Cool thing about the Kindle Voyage E-reader is that you can turn the pages by just pressing on the bottom corner and the lighting automatically adjusts to your surrounding for easy reading no matter where you are.
Now if you've been stuck at an airport recently then you know the fight for a power outlet is real! Which is why I make it a point to travel with at least one or two external battery packs. I am notorious for forgetting to charge my devices so these things are a life saver. I particularly love the ASUS ZenPower Battery Pack because it has a 10k mAh battery which means it can boot-up my phone, iPad and my kindle.
Now my travel buddies constantly make fun of me because they know I kind of have an obsession with finding the best, most comfortable and portable, travel pillows. You name it and I've probably tried it! As of right now I am in love with the Trtl Soft Neck Support Travel Pillow. First, I love that it lays pretty flat so it doesn't take up a huge amount of space in my travel bag, second, while it might look like a weird neck brace it is actually super supportive and comfortable.
Clothes You Can Move In
What I am going to wear to the airport is something I always think long and hard about. While I want to be comfortable, I also like to look polished and pulled together since I am typically running off to some family function or work event as soon as I land. For my last trip I picked this super easy and polished ensemble from fullbeauty.com. Yes, it is a little more dressed then up then most people like to travel but trust me as long as you pick clothing that moves and stretches with you, you are good to go. I always pack an extra pair of leggings and top in my bag just incase I get stuck again for 12 hours.
A huge kiss goes out to fullbeauty.com for consistently supporting me in all of my endeavors. Not only did they outfit me with this great look but they also sent me this amazing hard shell travel bag for my recent trip to LA with The Instagram Wives. It's been a blast being part of the #ownyourcurves brand ambassador program and trust me ladies, there is more to come from me and fullbeauty.com.
So ladies, what are your must have travel items for this holiday season?
